Lead and Presenter, STEM Career Exploration Workshop, I am a presenter and organizer for nonconcrete hands-on experiment for high school students. The objective of this workshop is to inspire potential college students to choose engineering majors through a fun engineering project and interact with faculty, University of Wisconsin-Platteville (November 2019).
Lead and Presenter, Outreach Program- Women in STEM Career Day, I was a presenter for nonconcrete hands-on experiment. The College of Engineering, Science and Math hosted about 181 high-school girls. Forty students attended my nonconcrete workshop including presentation and creating concrete crafts, University of Wisconsin-Platteville (October 2018).
Co-host, EMS Annual Mentor-Mentee Program-Progressive Dinner, this program was designed to connect with freshman students with EMS professors as a host or co-host for dinner at professors’ house. This program encourages students to meet and talk with their professors beyond the classroom. University of Wisconsin-Platteville (Fall 2018 and 2019).
Attendee, EMS Lunch with Professors program, this program was designed to connect professors in the College of Engineering, Math and Science with female students in STEM in the students’ commons. It builds rapport between students and educators in an informal setting to increase collage retention rate. I recruited four of my research students in this progressive dinner (Fall 2018 and 2019).
