The Society of Women in Engineering at Slippery Rock University is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, empowering, and supportive environment for women pursuing careers in engineering. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and equip female engineering students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in the dynamic field of engineering. We promote diversity, equality, and innovation, aiming to break down barriers and create opportunities for women engineers. Through mentorship, networking, and community outreach, we strive to build a strong community where women in engineering can excel, collaborate, and make a lasting impact on the world.
Our vision is to create a future where women in engineering at Slippery Rock University are celebrated for their achievements, contributions, and leadership in the engineering industry. We envision a supportive community where every woman pursuing engineering education feels empowered, confident, and valued. Through our initiatives, we aim to bridge the gender gap in engineering, promoting an environment where female engineers are recognized, respected, and given equal opportunities. We aspire to be a driving force for change, inspiring future generations of women to pursue their passion for engineering fearlessly, breaking stereotypes, and shaping a more diverse and inclusive engineering landscape.
